A few questions about mullion free glazing?

1) Is it really that much more expensive?
2) Is there a big downside, such as difficult maintenance? etc.?

550 just has incredible glass glazing. It adds so much to the project.

Not so - there are three retail spots in 550 wellington as far as I know and this web site only mentions one being available. Last I heard a Keg was going in as one of the tenants...

I found this website which I think answers all those questions earlier about what the retail is going to be in this building (spoiler alert: the answer is "nothing yet").

None of these people exactly look comfortable in front of the camera, and both the cheese factor and use of the word "lifestyle" are high. But as a marketing tool, this pretty genius with all that retail coming on to the market. It lets them give a sales pitch to people beyond just the Toronto market...this looks like it's built as much for a guy in New York who has never heard of King West as retailers that are based locally.

I also hoped it wasn't true about the keg when I heard that. It doesn't seem at all in line with the image of this hotel... although the source was fairly reliable so I guess we'll see.

The video is interesting. (That Anthony guy is HOT.) One of the not-so-attractive ones said that "280,000 people work or live in the King West Neighbourhood." What could he possibly be talking about? Doesn't that seem like a ridiculously overinflated number?

It's also a little outdated. Gansevoort? :(
