I feel like it comes down to the quality of the glass.

It just feels flat and plasticky, unfortunately. If they had gone with something more reflective, perhaps the building might have popped a bit more.

Apart from glass quality, my other major nuance is the execution of the north facing blank grey wall sections of the tower. The texturing inconsistencies are evident, and it ends up having this tiled blotch-iness effect. If that was for whatever reason intended, then I just don't get it.

Today.

While this is improving as the final touches get applied, the blank north wall still leaves me completely befuddled.

The stone on the base looks good to me as well as the copper. Its failing is the squat blocky form of the tower and the windows which, like many of the city's condos, are a muddle of mullions.

I like the materials, even the colour palette, hell I don’t even mind the mullions, but the tower is pretty boring. Especially that one side. I wouldn’t call this a fail though, just not as good as HPA could do.

Just about done here.

HA. The sides that they've managed to cover, at least. Please tell me they'll cover the street-facing side too.

Also, the bench in your final photo... I'm not sure what they're going for , but I think they missed the mark. That bench don't look right.
