Toronto 180 Wellington West | ?m | 12s | Stantec

A stantec stinker indeed.

Its really not that bad and presumably the fins will add some vertical heft. Putting things into perspective 200k square feeet of renovated class A office space is being unleashed onto the market.
The loading area f RTH is brutal however.

I suspect the space at 180 Wellington Street West may already be spoken for...

Taal, is says earlier in the thread that RBC is moving people in here from their Front Street West buildings… which will eventually come down for the Oxford Place redevelopment.

Ah gotcha, thanks.

hmm, that's a lot of money to spend on something that may not be a reality i.e. what if Oxford doesn't get the go ahead for the casino and they don't go ahead. I guess RBC will move the people regardless, leaving Oxford to re-lease the space.

I guess my question is, where did all the people who used to work here move ? (Maybe to the York Mills location) ?

Oxford will go ahead with the Oxford Place redevelopment whether they get they casino or not. That's all bluster (and not really the topic of this thread).

Horrible with the old cladding, horrible with the new cladding. I think this building looked best as a skeleton.

Liked it better when it was brick. It sticks out, but in the wrong way... like a sore thumb.
Should've used a deep red maybe, like a burgundy colour.

I really have no idea how the fins and the top are supposed to save this, but I'll reserve final judgement.

At the very least, I think they should've picked matching spandrel to go between the window banks horizontally.
