This building is going to look sharp when its built. I hope they use dark glazed windows to emphasize the look of the twisted metal beam cladding of the fasade . The building will really stand out.

Does anyone know how many storefronts on Yonge get restored as part of the project?

Down to but not including 834 Yonge (pizzaiolo). 836 is the furthest south facade included with this project.

That pretty good, about 9 storefronts or 6 buildings depending on how you count. Very nice!

Takes many months for permits to be issued on top of a million other things. I'd estimate June.

All the stores seem to be closed and a few workers on site this morning. Looks like demolition is set to begin.

After reviewing the final report and talking with the planner, a number of changes have been made to the numbers here.
The building is officially 58 storeys, not 55, and 601 feet tall, not 588. There will be 577 suites in the building, 11 less than previously noted, and 162 parking spaces, not 219.
They will no longer be digging under and underpinning the heritage buildings during construction for more garage space; instead, the first ten metres of the heritage structures will remain in place during construction, much like what was done at Five St. Joseph.

thats cool, it was so much more fun watching Five in the early stages because of the walls being supported. It was so much more interesting than regular hoarding at a pedestrian POV
