Time for another before and after. This time it is the Upper West Side Condo project in Oakville (Trafalgar Rd north of Dundas Street.) Even though it is the Upper WEST Side, it is on the EAST side of Trafalgar. Go figure. Perhaps the vacant field across the street will become the Upper EAST Side
September 4th, 2021. First tower is only six or seven levels. Footings for the second tower being poured. Far right of the frame will eventually become the Greenwich condos.
December 16th, 2023. Not quite the same angle and altitude but it is close enough. Both buildings are almost complete and the Greenwich has risen from the dirt pile visible in the top photo.
Looking west on Threshing Mill blvd towards Trafalgar Rd in this December 16th photo. From right to left, Greenwich condo crane, nearly completed Upper West side Condo, new Catholic Elementary school under construction, North Oak condo complex and the crane for the latest phase.
I've been busy trying to file all the photos that I took over the last year. I thought it was going well until I found many 2022 folders with unfiled photos as well. Here are two photos I came across that were taken with two different aircraft 14 months apart. I find it interesting to see the differences in such a relatively short span. Notice how Exchange district fills the gap in between the two towers to the left of the original Edge tower and how the podium for Edge 2 is barely built in the first shot. In the second shot, that tower is topped off.
Even though these two shots were taken at almost the same angle, it was purely by coincidence.
First Shot is from October of 2022
This one is from December 24th 2023-slightly higher altitude
