Scarborough Photographs: Then and Now

Its funny how little some parts of Toronto have changed over the years.

West of Birchmount on Eglinton big changes but from Birchmount to Markham Road , besides a few condo's and different names on all the stores , very little has changed taal.

Aside from a slight widening of the road, the high rises by the tracks, and the elimination of the level crossing, I'm surprised how little has actually changed on that stretch of Eglinton over 40 years!

The Pie Tree, just looking over these pics and showing my co-worker. Her husband used to work here making pies!

I know what you are saying Lone , I hung around that area in the 70's, first bottle of wine behind the beer store ,first time in a bar , the infamous Knob Hill Hotel , playing pool at Terry's billiards in the Elaine Plaza , bowling at the Knob Hill Bowl ,eating at the Red Barn , buying records at Sayvette's and Zounds and when I took this set of photo's it felt like very little has changed. But then again everything has changed that I remember.
