Bob Marier opens up about himself in a way that I can't think is helpful to Ford. While I don't doubt he may have righted the ship in terms of his own addictions, he comes across as another untrained, undereducated liar who seems to need to tell the world that he, too, urinates in public.

I wonder whether Overlord Doug approved this interview. The story has Doug already heralding that Sobriety Nanny won't be around for long.

Marier's denial that he kicked John Furr is a real boner move. It's not just his word against John's and the Toronto cop who warned him to stop - Marier had no reason to appoach John at the presser. He had been standing some distance away with Amin, Silverstein and others. I'm not an addiction specialist, but I'd guess that kicking skills are not part of the standard job description for a sobriety coach.

Why do young people enjoy taking pictures with Rob Ford? Talking to my neighbours kids and friends they think he's cool. They think he a hilarious fool and funny. I think it's going to take some education telling these kids when or if they are voting to take in consideration the damage they will be inflicting the city if they are inflicting to their City.

My daughter's HS class at Monarch Park was full-on Ford loathing, for various reasons. So, it's not all kids (or maybe teenagers are smarter than the 20ish lunkheads who seem to be taking most of the selfies with Ford.)

Full on 'old guy' rant: Selfies in general are the lowest form of socializing. The 'holding up the leaning tower of Pisa' selfie, the 'me and my new puppy' selfie sent to major media organizations, the 'me and my new drinking buddies from Norway'. A selfie with Ford is about as entertaining as any other selfie.

Hi everyone, this is my first post, so be nice to me. Ford's Scarborough campaign office is across the street from where I live, as is the Taste Of Lawrence every year. I was getting souvlaki from one vendor and Ford Nation people were as well, the same ones who were at City Hall when he returned from spa-hab. They didn't seem to be the most intelligent people around were all older. It is rather embarrassing that people here supported him so much.

Not that it makes much difference, but I would love to see a new poll after Ford's disaster of a return.

It's very simple, folks: if this guy were in any way legit, he would have issues with the fact that a) Ford had clearly not done the work he needed to do in rehab, b) Ford had no intention of pursuing any further professional treatment, and c) Ford's continuing to campaign would undermine his chances of recovery at every turn. In short, he would recognize that he had been hired simply as a babysitter and an enabler, and, if he had any integrity, would not have taken the job under those circumstances.

I'm trying to think of ways in which SAL is even slightly less awful than Coulter and all I've got is the fact that SAL doesn't always totally make stuff up just to create a batshit 'theory' of how things work ('Soccer is a plot to bring light rail to the US!').

I bet you it's the manufactured support that buttressed his ego - he isn't going to get adoration that easily from an uncontrolled crowd this time around. If so, that's a real admission that the Ford camping is only interested in trying to keep RoFo from making a fool of himself in public until the election, then after that he's free to go wild again. Marier has been clean 10 years, but yet was arrested for assaulting a gas station owner for urinating near the property 8 years ago.

So either he hasn't been clean for 10 years, or he is walking around supposedly in recovery but still urinating in public.
