Rob Ford's Toronto

Finally a council motion that Rob can get behind, although he may think everyone already has access to the bars at that time.

Coun. Mike Layton says he will ask for bar hours starting at 6a so fans can cheer on Canada.

No derogations intended. Yes, it's a big draw. I got here because of following T.O. architecture and Twitter. To be assured, the comment to which you are likely responding was not meant to offend or antagonize. My apologies if such was taken. As suggested, surely just a lag in the platform.

No, no. None taken.

Jesus, not the weight thing again. Where did he get the idea that the secret to his re-election is dropping a few dozen pounds?

Rob, repeat after me: NO ONE cares how fat you are.

We care about how high you are, how drunk you are, how corrupt you are, how incompetent you are, how homophobic you are, and finally how stupid you are.

You know, all that other stuff.

I agree, totally.

But I would still like to know how he is doing with the fabled weight loss thing. Rightly or wrongly, he set that marker back in Nov - 60lbs. If he is really down 40 then he's getting close and once he's there, assuming he can keep it there, we will never hear the end of it, promises kept etc etc. BUT, if the 40 is another lie, then pretty soon, he will have to "eat his words" and "action does not speak louder than words". He will need to move on to a new target.

Rob Ford is apparently at Gravity sound bar right now (per a twitter user who said that the live to air was talking about it).

I think the idea of recording and publicizing Ford's work attendance at City Hall is great. I just believe that hourly posts are overkill. If the media mentioned Ford's arrival time everyday, that would be sufficient, but they don't. After all they cover not just Ford but legitimate City business.

They also have never compiled, say, a month's record of attendance. It would be pretty powerful to keep track of him for the next month and broacast how little he shows up at City Hall for his $140,000 salary. That's something that could be used in anit-Ford campaign literature, like a record of how he voted on key issues.

Yeah, that's what I'm intending to do now, partly because the hourly updates don't seem feasible with my erratic work schedule. Thanks for the feedback.

Sorry, back in the garbage. Interesting notes:
In 1994 company called Rail Cycle had 2 facilities on Keele St. They caught fire in 2004 (huge environmental issue as they smoldered for weeks) and the buildings were purchased by Waste Excellence Corp. in 2006. (I think GFL CEO Patrick Dovigi may have been with them at that point, not sure if he was there or with Brovi). The secured creditors for WEC were Starnino Holdings Limited, Brovi Investments Limited, Romeo Di Battista Sr., and R. DiBattista Investments Inc.

Even if Doug genuinely does not believe Rob has a substance abuse issue, how seriously awful is it that Doug would bring Randy, who has a documented, undeniable history of substance abuse issues, out to a bar?

Has this been posted?
LISTEN: Sit-in at Rob Ford's office pledges full-time presence, part-time hours
The latest demonstration to set up outside the Mayor's office has a promise:

We're not going away until Rob Ford does.

38-year old web designer Chris Caple is assembling a roster of part-time protesters. His plan is for a at least one person to sit on the floor outside the Mayor's office in shifts until Ford leaves his post for good.

"The thing that has pushed me over the edge is his open embrace of homophobia -- I can't tolerate that. I can't stand for that," he says.

While there are only a handful of people involved as of Wednesday afternoon, Caple says he's getting a lot of support online and believes the movement is growing.

He's been spreading the word through a Twitter account and a website called RobFordMustGo.com.

"Hardly anybody can afford to take a full day out of their schedule to protest ... but with something like this that is here all the time, people can come whenever they can," Caple says.
Kitchen designer Geoff Martin joined Caple on the second floor of City Hall.

"If anybody in the private sector has done what (Rob Ford) has done in terms of drinking and drugs, they would not be running that corporation anymore," he says.

Martin scoffs at Ford's claim that he is the advocate of Toronto's tax payers.

"I pay more property taxes to get what I need in this city and I am so sick of him cutting everything," he says.

A friend from high school, radio host Tony Monaco, was celebrating his birthday.

Maybe it's just the boyeeees partying together for the last time!

I have looked for a list of his meetings, but could only find articles about his schedules. In 2011 he met with Mammolitti an awful lot. Interesting note, one of the Ngrehedta ( sic?) members' name is Mammolitti.
Also, was the Chinese delegation meeting at city hall? If so, did anyone see them enter city hall? RF came in late and from what I gather he didn't leave city hall. Just thinking out loud...

Mammoliti 'ndrina... interesting.

how common is the name mammoliti?

there are some who think it's the same family...

We have a solid Ndrangheta Mafia here posing as Toronto Councillor
