This attitude is as bad as Ford Nation. Hell this attitude perpetuates this unnecessary contempt between great communities.

People in Etobicoke have 416 numbers and Etobicoke has one of the best Sushi restaurants in Toronto http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/10/135678/restaurant/Etobicoke/Kaji-Toronto.

Where ever there is people there is over priced shitty restaurants. Trying to proclaim a bad review of a restaurant as a metaphor to describe an area as diverse and vast an area as "non-416 "toronto"" is just as ignorant as Rob Ford.

Hell the shitty restaurant is a 416. (Address: 1750 The Queensway, 416-622-6677, viaallegroristorante.com).

Leave the meaningless 416 vs the world rhetoric inside your little empty egg shell.

The comments a page or two ago and the YouTube video make me sick to my stomach. If you feel you will cheer if this man commits suicide live on air you need to take a step back and meditate on this whole situation... the problem is that the laws are structured so a psychologically ill individual cannot be removed from office. Despite his crimes -- and they may be more serious than simply imbibing in a certain drug -- he does NOT deserve to die.

However, Rob and Doug over the last several days have done so much to create rage and despair in the hearts of so many that it's totally understandable that people are expressing their violent fantasies.

While we're on the subject of unrealistic fantasies, this is what I think would be a just outcome ...

One Ford bro gets to live out the next few decades in the worst apartment in the shittiest hi-rise in Etobicoke, on a very tight budget. No major health worries, but constant stress about making rent and paying for food and TTC rides. The other bro gets a similar deal in Scarborough. They both get landlines that don't really work and cell phones that are even worse (thanks Bell and Rogers!). When they walk down the hallways to the elevators they brag to their neighbours that they used to be major players in T.O. politics, and the response is always, yeah, you sorta look like one of those Ford guys, but give it up old-timer, it wasn't really you ...

Earlier tonight I noted (as did others) that I thought it odd that Joe Warmington mentioned on his "late-shift" radio show - almost in passing - that "there is a video floating around that we have had a peek at".

Crime specialist Ross McLean was co-hosting the show - and I noticed that on his FB blog a follower of his posted this comment:

I think that we can all draw our own conclusions from Ross McLeans comments. I take it that there IS another damaging video floating out there. If members of the media have seen the video it cannot be long before the rest of us do!

I've always thought this was going to end up being about bribery as much as anything else, and I'm betting it's at least partially related to Romeo DiBattista and that fishy, under-bid garbage contract. Those manila envelopes Lisi was dropping off didn't seem like the sort of thing you put drugs in. They're the sort of thing you put wads of bills in.

Yeah, Ford Nation people drink Kool-Aid. At the same time, there are many anti-Ford people who're eager to jump to wild conclusions and say vile things based on their hatred for the man. Personally, I think both sides can look pretty stupid at times. Whenever excessive anger or excessive devotion is involved, you're bound to get people who make everyone look bad.

The difference is, one side is always eventually proven to be right, and the other is always wrong. This false equivalency thing is bullshit.

I coworker said his cousin was going to view the videos at a city councilor's house tonight. I've known him for years, he's a senior editor at a major website, and I've never known him to be anything but honest. He was taking to the lead editor about it, I don't see him making it up. Trust me, I'll be asking for details first thing tomorrow.

He's not allowed a copy, just to watch it with a select few. If it's true, it won't be long.

A couple of big, threatening guys come to your house with their own vcr, put in the tape, stand on either side of it while you watch, and then leave after threatening to come back and kill you if you say anything about what you saw.

This is what Rob Ford has done. Toronto was a city that worked, now it's turned into an angry show-down between those who live in the suburbs and those downtown. As one who grew up in the burbs and have lived dt for the second half of my life I see the benefits and the pitfalls of both, but each can be a great area to live based on what you want in life.
We need Ford gone and then the healing between a divided city must begin.
