November 2020 US Election

No, HRC went for the All White ticket. It needs to be a woman of colour.

Maybe one of the Squad? That'll perhaps satisfy some of the progressives sad about Bernie losing the primary?

N’ah, at least one of these four are going down in November. My bet’s a blue on blue takedown of AOC. You can’t build a big tent coalition with extremists from either the left or right.

Polls show Biden leading Trump in most battleground states

Apr 24, 2020, 3:40pm EDT

  • Fox News polled voters in Florida, Michigan, and Pennsylvania from April 18-21, with a margin of error of 3 percentage points. When voters were asked who they’d vote for if the election were held today, Biden led in all three states, albeit more narrowly in Florida. He topped Trump 50 to 42 percent in Pennsylvania, 49 to 41 percent in Michigan, and 46 to 43 percent in Florida (which falls within the poll’s margin of error). In all three states, Biden owes his lead to women voters, leading Trump by 12 percentage points in Florida and by roughly 20 percentage points in Michigan and Pennsylvania.
  • A Reuters poll of voters in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin from April 15-20, with a 5-percentage-point margin of error, also asked who voters would support if the election were held today. Biden led Trump 46 to 38 percent in Michigan, 46 to 40 percent in Pennsylvania, and 43 to 40 percent in Wisconsin (again, within the margin of error).
  • A Quinnipiac University poll of Florida voters conducted from April 16-20 with a 2.6-percentage-point margin of error found Biden with a slight 46 to 42 percent lead over Trump. Among Florida independents, Biden’s lead grew to 7 percentage points, leading Trump 44 to 37 percent.
  • Two national polls conducted in mid-April, one by the Economist/YouGov and the other by NBC News and the Wall Street Journal, both found Biden leading Trump by 6 and 7 percentage points, respectively.
There are some important takeaways from these polls. Even with record unemployment and a recession, Trump isn’t being judged as harshly on the economy as he is for his handling of the coronavirus. The Fox poll in Michigan found that 59 percent of voters surveyed said the president’s response to the coronavirus was too slow, compared with 38 percent who said it was appropriate. And Fox’s Florida poll found 55 percent of respondents agreed Trump’s coronavirus response was too slow, compared with 41 percent who said it was appropriate.

Aww poor muffin...

Trump says briefings 'not worth the effort' amid fallout from disinfectant comments

The president remained behind closed doors after advisers reportedly warned him that the briefings were hurting his campaign

The tenants would probably justify the excessive fees with their unwavering loyalty to Trump.

Sounds like many of them could be the same people described here in Maryland:

Trump erupts at campaign manager as reelection stress overflows

Wed April 29, 2020

(CNN)As he huddled with advisers on Friday evening, President Donald Trump was still fuming over his sliding poll numbers and the onslaught of criticism he was facing for suggesting a day earlier that ingesting disinfectant might prove effective against coronavirus.

Within moments, the President was shouting -- not at the aides in the room, but into the phone -- at his campaign manager Brad Parscale, three people familiar with the matter told CNN. Shifting the blame away from himself, Trump berated Parscale for a recent spate of damaging poll numbers, even at one point threatening to sue Parscale. It's not clear how serious the President's threat of a lawsuit was.

This is honestly disturbing.

The two contenders for president are Creepy Old Orange Rapist and Creepy Old Slightly Less Orange Rapist .

What's the point? They should both be beat and sent packing.

Allegations are not evidence. All women should be heard, but truth still must be tested. Biden says it didn’t happen, let’s test the evidence.

Yeah, that should be easy......30 years have passed.

I agree with you but it's not looking good is what I'm saying. And I have a special pair of boots reserved for rapists.

Is all I'm saying.

Never mind the fact that neither one is worth voting for for policy and other reasons. The rapiness is just the disgusting, putrid cherry on top.

Actually it should be. Tara Reade claims she made a formal complaint. If that’s true, it should exist in government archives. If that can’t be found, who else is collaborating Reade’s allegations? As Trump shows us, people who do these things don’t do it once. We need other victims of Biden to come forward.

There has to be a test of the truth. We can‘t allow a system where anyone who runs for public or high status private office is at risk of unsubstantiated allegations about something from decades earlier. If Reade had accused Biden of stealing government money, he could sue for libel. But somehow sexual allegations are sacrosanct.
