Silly socialists. Don't they realize the more they try to villify him; the more Rob Ford comes across as the underdog, folk hero, frugal saviour of the silent majority? Many people will be in shock come October.

You really don't belong in Toronto.
Because you think that a wife-beating homophobic uneducated bigot represents the silent majority. Perhaps in parts of Etobicoke ... but Toronto as a whole? Why?

He's running as mayor - not head of the police union!

Stephen Harper is so adept at weathering economic storms that he doesn't even believe it's worth acknowledging them when they're approaching.
And maintaining Canada's place as the only G8 member nation without a national transit strategy shows his strong preference for Bus Rapid Transit.
dude.. that's just rhetoric, pandering to the economically challenged....
One of the GREATEST factors of economic depression is lost of confidence - most economist know this, so perhaps he was simply trying to boost confidence.
Harper - MA in economics
Layton - BA in Polisci.....
yup.. you get to choose....
(although I did not vote for either of them)
Can I also say that the feaseability of a 'National Transit Strategy' is none existence when you have a population smaller the the Tri-State Area but geographically 50 times larger....
Why do you need a 'national transit strategy' anyways? - most of the dippers I know want to bike, walk, and garden in the heart of the city....
Perhaps an LRT to Montreal would be a great way to keep the hipsters connected?
To be fair though, he also pushed HST in Ontario and Quebec, which any serious economist would back.Harper has not impressed on the economic front. No serious economist anywhere would have backed his GST cuts and yet he pushed forward with them anyway.
