New TTC Bus Driver Shields

Employers, including the TTC, have a legal responsibility to take any reasonable measure to prevent injury to their employees. These shields easily fit that description. It may seem silly, but even if they are only used 5% of the time, they could go a long way to reducing stress among drivers in situations where they might feel threatened.

Are these shields gradually being installed on all buses, or just the routes with higher rates of driver abuse?

They plan to put them on all buses, but as far as I know, they have only been able to be accomodated on the Orion low floor buses.
