A really nice coffee shop opened up in the area in the past few months at 185 Queen St E called Moss Park Espresso. It's downstairs from a plant store called Plant Society (which is also quite nice.)

The affogato is highly recommended and they make all of their own gelato!

McNally Books will be moving to a permanent location at Queen and Jarvis sometime in August.

This is fantastic news! They've moved around a few times since the Bay St. location closed, but are clearly keen on staying in the East end.

I hope they're able to save any part of it that was being retained.

East side emergency is having a busy afternoon.
There's less smoke now. Still seeing fire trucks and paramedic coming. I think building wasn't empty.

There's been a lot of work on the exterior of the north building to scrape off the white paint on the north side, which looks to be going very slowly but steady.
I don't know what's happening on the south buildings, but there has never seemed to be many people working on this large site. Maybe ten or so each day. I expected they would be going in earnest by now here, but they are really taking their time.

Creamery X ice cream has moved to the corner of Queen and Jarvis. It's a much larger space and has some seating.

And Ben McNally Books has opened a few doors west at 108 Queen East. The space is still being renovated, but they're open for business.
