It is strange that other (much smaller) cities separated from the regional governments as well, like Windsor and London, but when Hazel wants the same thing, and in a much more awkwardly-structured region, it is seen as contempt and hate.

I wouldn't say "hate" so much as contempt. And it's contempt because Mississauga really is so contemptuous of Peel Region Governance.

They do little to hide their lack of respect for Peel staff. In fact they state it openly at Mississauga Council meetings.

I say sure, try to extricate yourself from Peel, but gee, Mississauga just passed a Respectful Work Place Policy and I'm still trying to find some evidence of Respect.

Again, doady, I wouldn't make all these noises if I didn't have plenty of video to back all this up. Or audiotape.
