I went to Doors Open today and found some 'ready-made' Then and Nows. :)

Here we go.

At the MOD Massey Tower development at 197 Yonge, someone in that organization left a binder of 'Then' pictures on one of the tables inside.

I stepped outside and took this 'Now' picture.

At Osgoode Hall, similarly:

And some neat stuff from the spanking new refurbed Dineen Building on Yonge and Temperance:

And, a 'timecapsule' for our Goldie. I can imagine the excitement when this was uncovered.

Interesting w/that image that the Loews/Yonge/Elgin was clearly in naming transition then (judging from the sign pylon)

Mustapha - Your visits to Osgoode Hall & Duneen building have prompted these additions.
I wish now that I had seen the interior of Dineen - your snaps are wonderful.
My visits were on Victoria Day.

Goldie,

Even the 'later' Arcade is gone now; a Goodlife club as shown in your picture.

I do miss walking thru it. There was a shoe repair in there; and a shop that sold luxury pens...

I also like the fact that in the span of 50 years, the computer terminals went from taking up a whole room to being the size of a DVD player, and maybe smaller!
