Marineland has been sold.

But oddly, the new owners are not yet public.

The Park will open this year after all, but not until June 28th, and at that point, it seems likely that the park will be more limited in scope than usual (I'm hearing lots of different things and haven't been able to lock this bit down), but the park will have heavily discounted admission for its brief 2 month opening this year.

...I guess that's good news in the continued dysfunctional saga of this theme park. I still have my concerns for the ongoing plight of the animals here under care.

Amusement Insiders, the YouTuber known for his drone videos of Canada's Wonderland, has this to say about Marineland being sold:

Amusement Insiders strongly detests how the Holer family ruined the park, which had so much potential, by doubling down on the animals. Amusement parks have no business in having wild animals anymore in my opinion.

Here's hoping the new owner gets rid of the animals, puts them in a sanctuary, and focuses on the rides so it can compete with the likes of Canada's Wonderland, Darien Lake, Kennywood, and Cedar Point.
