I had forgotten about this one. It's too bad the city hasn't stepped in to prevent the park-that-never-was from becoming an illegal parking lot

Wasn't the builder suppose to provide that park....and what exactly has happened? I would forgive this building a little more if the park out front was decent (and completed).

The area in front of Lotus has been fenced off and a construction crew was there today. Maybe we're finally going to see the return of the parkette? Noticed as well that a cafe is preparing to open on the ground floor of the building.

13 January 2011: Just noticed--hadn't walked by here in ages--some new Caffe (how pretentious, eh?) Portici by Fornino Fine Foods. Any locals have anything to say about it?
