Some work is being done on this older laneway suite, north of Annette and east of Willard:

This turned out to be a complete rebuild. Bringing forward my prior pic (see above) for comparison purposes. Taken today:

One, no two, no three new laneway houses in the lane behind Beresford and Durie streets, in the block north of Annette Street. The first (now complete) one I had spotted some time ago, the other two that are side-by-side were new to me.

I hope they improve the landscaping for the sake of the residents of the laneway house, but otherwise, a nice little project.

I hope they improve the landscaping for the sake of the residents of the laneway house, but otherwise, a nice little project.

Talked to someone who said that there will be a fence down the middle of the back garden to create private outdoor spaces.

Love that little red brick Roncesvalles suite, it's charming. I think the stacked boxes with asymmetrical face/randomly shaped window trend is a bit tired, so it's almost refreshing to see something a bit more "classic".

I have to say I'm appreciating the removal of parking requirements allowing a lot more larger, practical laneway suites now.
