Standard lightwell configuration - lots of apartments are like that in older cities - i.e. Paris.

I don't mind one way of the other: it's a bricky area.

I think it looks decent, actually, is probably in the top 10% of best looking Toronto buildings built since 1970.

My roommate is a valet here. They have amazing staff rates.

It strikes me as a very ordinary building. Not particularly ugly, but certainly not particularly beautiful. If they are offering lower rates than some of the other downtown hotels, then that's a good thing.
