It‘s the wrong venue. If any other US citizen incited a mob to attack the US Capitol the DOJ would be coming for them, not their former employer. If Trump broke the law, send in the FBI and arrest him.

True, and it will be interesting if any of that comes. Impeachment is a political process with few rules of engagement. The criminal process is much tighter with much higher burdens. Drawing straight lines from A to B sufficient to get a conviction is much more difficult.

Maybe not for Jan 6th - it would require FBI to investigate and the DOJ to prosecute. Georgia has launched a criminal investigation into his conversation with their Secretary of State. And there is the potential (if not reality - I'm not aware) of civil actions and a number promissory obligations apparently coming due in the next year or so.

A flaming wreck but still active Donald is Biden’s best chance in 2022 for keeping the Senate and Harris’ best chance for becoming POTUS in 2024. The last thing either want is a GOP reset and return to normalcy. Remove the Trump factor and Harris will be up against Nikki Hailey or even worse, any old white man. Harris will get smoked.

The GOP slops behind its own net with very little desire or hope of even clearing the puck. If this were a game, they'd be calling the mercy rule. If only.

What game? What’s the GOP alternative for the 2022 and 2024 elections? It’s either Trump or no Trump.
As for Harris. America will not vote for a female POC, unless the choice is another female POC, likely Haley.

Rush Limbaugh fans love to call everyone who don't agree with him "brainwashed" by liberal media. Liberal media by Rush's definition also includes thoroughly peer-reviewed academic research. To Rush, diversity is a weakness, not a strength.
In reality, as encapsulated by Toronto's current motto, diversity is our strength. Rush is a dinosaur.
