Originally, the name of the office building erected at the south end of the Eaton Centre was to be the Queen James Tower until some spoil sport at Cadillac Fairview nixed the idea.

"Queen James Tower"? That sounds awful. Like some royal tranny.
 
"Queen James Tower" could've been a rare modern tribute to James I of England ( James VI of Scotland ), son of Mary Queen of Scots, famous for his string of male favourites.

I believe "Male Favourites" was to be the name of the pub, just off the lobby in the back alley - stout & spotted dick the specialty of the house
