I think this year I'll make the water treatment plant a priority!

If you've never been, then you should make it a priority. The architecture is impressive and the location on the eastern waterfront is picturesque and unique. It's especially great if you ever read In the Skin of a Lion and appreciate RC Harris' personality as a strong, intelligent and visionary civil servant--the kind we could use more of. Too bad there's little reason to go there outside of Doors Open, but it does make for a picturesque park.

It's also funny how the "first time" you see it turns out not to be the first time at all, as it has been used as a location shoot, or just stock footage, for so many TV shows and movies. I first remember it as the HQ of "The Centre" in the TV show The Pretender.

Fort York library will no longer be part of Doors Open. Fire code issues are preventing them from opening this weekend.

I loved the pumping station north of Ave / Bloor and coach house press. Highlights for me this year !

Inside Out really got in the way for me this year, but was able to check-out Archives Ontario up at York U. They really give a fantastic tour if any of you want a tip for a future year!
