Channel 36 in the GTA

in Richmond Hill and Scarborough Fairchild TV is on basic cable channel 36

in North York much more music which carry the same no-talent copy-cat acts as the main much music channel is on 36 why the difference in channel lineups?




i ask because i like watching Hsin Yun Talk III and Guangdong Today and now i am unable to watch those shows

Rogers Toronto and Rogers York Region have different channel line-ups.

different areas within Toronto also have different channel lineups in North York CH 36 is much more music. In Scarborough it is Fairchild TV

In the "old" Rogers zone (eg downtown and North York, as opposed to the old Shaw zone eg York and Scarborough), Fairchild TV is a paid channel that requires the digital box and an additional paid subscription to some package which, last I checked, cost about $20 extra. This disparity has existed since Shaw and Rogers swapped assets back in the 90s.
