I was quite outspoken about Bush in the 2000 election, and not only did I say this, I also said that he didn't have it in him to be a good leader. Bush's drug and alcohol dependence demonstrated this. I think I nailed that one quite well. Bush didn't have it in him, Ford didn't have it in him ... and frankly, for some of the same reasons, I don't think Smitherman has it in him.Does Bush getting elected mean that Americans support alcoholism and drug use?

Ford doesn't deserve respectful comments. Apart from his bigotry, racism, and wife-beating, he has also violated ethical rules at council many times.
