Bloor and Prince Edward (?)

There's a mysterious development site on the north-west corner of Bloor and Prince Edward. There was previously a gas station on site that was torn down about 2 years ago, and the site sat quietly as a brownfield since then, but recently new hoarding was erected, and yesterday a shoring rig was present, yet there is no development application sign present that would indicate what's being built here.

Anyone know?

It's just odd that shoring has begun at a fairly prominent stretch of Bloor yet nobody seems to know anything about the project.

It was a gas station. Probably removing contaminated soil close to the property's edge so shoring is required.

Remington is also interested in acquiring of the rest of this block afaik..
so it seems (like maestro says) that soil remediation is starting..

The sign on site in the photo above looks like it's just a remediation company, so the post above guessing that this is just cleaning of the soil is likely all it is.

Hopefully a nice mid-rise will eventually emerge, but projects along this stretch of Bloor seem to struggle with local NIMBY opposition...

Yup, the decal on the hoarding appeared several weeks ago now… but still nothing at all behind it, and no plans advanced to the City.
