The colours of Fall — somewhat faded since their unveiling in 2015 — and as chosen by Douglas Coupland from the Laurentian Pencil Crayon range, stand in front of a sea of emerald-green leaves, while the towers of Downtown Toronto form a punctuated distant horizon. The colourful pylon, one of four at the Emerald City condos site at Sheppard and Don Mills, represents the upcoming autumnal time of year. In the background of this image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor kris, towers represent our economic strength and ambitions, with a couple of cranes pulling some of our latest exclamation points ever-skyward.
