One thing I'd love to see though, if/when the intensification happens, is a more extensive use of the alleyways between some of those buildings. You can walk through them now, and they're beautiful. One in particular (I think it's the one in the picture at the top of the page) has a very similar feel to the distillery. If they could be opened up for retail/restaurant use, that'd be great.

These really don't need to be touched, IMO.

But if they are, I hope the current buildings are not just incorporated, but practically preserved as the base of the proposal.

Allied have a number of properties on richmond that they seem to be happy just preserving.
