Remember what highrise construction was like in Toronto a decade ago? Hardly anything was going on. Now, it seems like the entire downtown is -- or soon will be -- one giant construction zone. We're not exactly Dubai North, but this city has to be one of the most active regions in North America.

It's fun to see Maldive's rendering again. Too bad it's missing the Scar of Downtown though, not to mention it doesn't get over far enough for that somewhat unpolished Diamond at the foot of Jarvis. Well, you can't have everything...

3D, I appreciate the large rendering. I'm trying to host it in such a way as to leave it at its proper size.
I don't want to link to an outside source just in case something changes/overrunning their hosting abilities, neither do I want to host if I can't get it at the proper size.

For now it sits in limbo, but I hope to find a solution soon.

Maybe it's just me but there seems to be a slowdown of larger all-residential towers in the city.

There are a great number either u/c or under site prep (16 out of the 43 residential towers listed), but not too many mid-range towers in the near future.

The L Tower, Burano, Metrogate I & II should all be in full sales within the next few months, but there are not really that many towers to pad out the list further [IMO I think a lot of the proposed towers will be scaled back].

Basically the list is not as colourful as I would like to see.

i think we are in a transition and keep moving forward.if we acheive in the next five years what we did in the last five then there are more good things to come.

I think its great to have time to absorb all of these projects and not flood more onto the market where there is just not as high a demand as there was a few years ago. I know the market has been strong, but this list complies just the tallest, and there are so many other projects competing for buyers that are smaller or have a large number of units in a shorter building. Now that more and more are moving to the construction phase, we wont have to worry about some of the larger projects being scaled back as there are just too many units to satisfy a smaller number of buyers. Moderation is a good thing.

However, I still like the occasional biggy coming along.
