Used to pass all these ugly bathurst buildings between Lawrence and Eglinton every day walking to school. One down, dozens to go. This area needs a facelift pretty bad. Glad to at least see someone TALKING about change in the area. Hopefully it all works out
 
The design pattern reminds me a lot of (the defunct) Giraffe Condos. The darker material should fit well with the brick apartments along this stretch. Looks great, nice to see some new decent architecture uptown.

So is this approved for 20 ,16 or 12 floors and how many apartments or condos The rendering shows 16 floors.
 
The owners have approval to build a 13-storey building with 31 rental replacement units and 116 condo units, and may demolish the existing rental building on site (have they done that already?) contingent upon them finding alternate space for the current tenants. They are supposed to rebuild the rental units within 3 years, or they will face fines.

Meanwhile, it seems that the plan to sell condos here has turned into a plan to create a retirement residence. Anyone have any special knowledge about that?
