    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

Jan 29, 2024, 6pm vs. Jan 3, 2025, 1am CIBC and Skytower both shot up quick in 2024!

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Stark contrast to your stance on scaling construction sites! In all seriousness, I’m pretty sure there are runnels on these stairs.

    Toronto Ontario Place | ?m | ?s | Infrastructure ON

Wonderland is world class, it is the most visited seasonal amusement park in North America. Its closest competitors are 6 or more hours away, it has no competition this side of the border. Therme has more to compete with. Wonderland also has poor transit accessibility. Relative to its peak...

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

There’s often a cost of public resources when something does go wrong. Let’s not forget this infamous incident. Rules exist to deter idiots and reduce risk. For example, if you allow motorcyclists to not wear helmets there will be many more serious accidents and filled ICU beds.

That is the loading zone for St. Lawrence Hall.

This piece of the facade is all done now, love the extra warm tone when it’s damp. Hope something can be done about the misalignment at the north end. This piece clearly wasn’t handled with much care and some touch ups are in order.

@Ervin @JSF-1 @Rainforest Other thread please, as mentioned here

    Toronto 185 King East | 157.12m | 46s | Gupta | Arcadis

I keep an eye on this area because it’s in direct view from my apartment. It would absolutely stick out like a sore thumb. There’s a 15 story, well set back tower across King as well as a 17 story, very small footprint tower proposed (not approved) across George (65 George). I’m not...

    Toronto Ontario Place | ?m | ?s | Infrastructure ON

The real juxtaposition is Ford’s rampant dedication to solving congestion while handing over tens of millions to make this destination more car accessible, through thousands of additional parking spaces. Admittedly I’ve not read the article as I don’t subscribe to the star, this is just my take.

Users tune into this thread for the active developments, let’s filter out some of the other drivel. There is a separate thread here for discussion of the OL extension north of Eglinton. Post there or create another thread for the west extension if you wish.

    Toronto Union Park | 303.26m | 58s | Oxford Properties | Pelli Clarke Pelli

Gross misinterpretation but I give benefit of doubt, you understood enough but you bungled the paraphrasing. For the estimated development cost ($6.5B, no citation from video but assumed accurate for argument sake) and number of units (~8000), the average unit price would need to be at least...

    Toronto Union Park | 303.26m | 58s | Oxford Properties | Pelli Clarke Pelli

Yes the shared renders lack context. To be clear, phase 1+2 would demolish and replace 325 Front St. W and retain the ~16 story tower at 315 Front St. W. Phase 3 would then replace 315 with that tallest tower in the renders. I wouldn’t call it laughable but I agree it certainly will be revised...

    Montréal Transit Developments

I’m not a huge fan of the Montreal metro but this is a beautiful station. It’s wide open and lofty, from the lowest platform the ceiling is about 4 stories high. Here’s a shot I took about 6 weeks ago.

    Toronto King-Liberty GO Station | 21.39m | 3s | Metrolinx | WSP

It’s incredibly frustrating that Doug Ford shook up city council back in 2018 with tons of cutbacks but has shown no concern for the bloated and plagued Metrolinx.

    Toronto Sugar Wharf Condominiums (Phase 2) | 283.6m | 85s | Menkes | a—A

Exciting if true, but on second thought… Looks like they’d fit 2 courts max, it would likely be as busy as the community centre across the street. Probably unpredictable winds as well 😓

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Shameful. It’s high time we see the pillory make a comeback. In all seriousness, after many incidents of this sort with special purpose trucks (not specifically in Toronto), I think we need to pass on some liability beyond the drivers to see some changes made. In this instance I think GFL or...
