Looking more closely at the rendering, I think the facade is going to have more of a 3 dimensional texture than at first glance, like that Maple House tower at Canary Landing.
It's only striking me now, from seeing that rendering, that this will de facto become the defining skyscraper in Toronto's skyline. In my mind it was still going to be FCP, but One Yonge is going to stand out by such a huge degree.
I like how the glass facets facing up catch the light to create the illusion that the building is clad in some opaque white material. It's the only building that somehow becomes more colourful on overcast days.
