    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The person I was replying to was talking about the new condo right on Hurontario. What's the solution then? Stops every 200m? I understand that for some people, especially those with mobility problems, the stops will be too far, but the line has to run at a reasonable pace. There has to be a...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

"Fairview" stop is named for the neighbourhood and not the street. That said, it's more like 300m from Fairview Rd. to Central Parkway, and should be under 4 minutes to walk unless you're going real slow.

    QEW - Mississauga/Credit River Project

I'm not happy with the ugly, standard pedestrian overpass. They had the opportunity to send pedestrians under the bridge to cross the QEW, giving them a view of the river along the way, with a connection to the underslung pedestrian walkway. It wouldn't've have added much distance as the...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

They were pouring concrete at Hurontario and Bunhamthorpe yesterday (Oct 8). I was only passing by and could not stop for pictures. Hoping the intersection will finally be done.

What's "fairly"? It seems obvious to me that a fair price for someone who wants to sell their home is categorically different to a fair price for someone who does not want to sell it. Yet it appears this is not at all obvious to a lot of people posting here. There are things I own that I would...

Where does the 4 month figure come from? The track intersection can be rebuilt in under a week so the line can run. The surrounding work will disrupt car traffic for longer but I just don't see how it can take months to do. They can build several intersections in that time.

That does raise the question: Are they going to try to at least greenify the median between the tracks in places like this?

If I understand the question, the Square One "spur" (loop-to-be) juts north of Rathburn to join the mainline above-grade. You can see it in this render:

Didn't someone say in this thread many many posts ago that the reason for calling that station "Fairview" was to avoid the "Central Parkway" name, which was going to be used for something else on the larger system? I used to live near there. Fairview is indeed the name of the neighbourhood...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I took a walk near Cooksville GO a couple of days ago, and snapped a few pictures. Hurontario and Central Parkway, looking south: And looking north (had to jaywalk for this one, but there was almost no traffic): The barrier at Hurontario and Hanson Rd. Similar to what it was a few weeks...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

When I was in the area a couple of weeks ago, the west side sidewalk under the bridge was officially closed (between the bus stop north of the bridge at Hanson Rd., to John St.) however the barriers had been moved in an act of "civil disobedience" and people were walking through the forbidden...

It would make sense to do a partial opening of the line from Brampton Gateway to Square One, no? Better than nothing if the project is behind schedule.

Dang I hope so. The south side stop is such a stupid idea. The Gateway Terminal and Shoppers World mall are on the north side. Having people cross Steeles to get to and from the LRT is just begging for a completely preventable accident.

They were pouring the concrete today at Elm and Hurontario. I was in the area and snapped a few pics. Sorry for the quality, as I'm not nearly the caliber of photographer that this forum often sees.

Problematic Park Design - Why Some Parks Don't Work

Where exactly is the Lower Don Bridge? When I type that name into Google it points me to a tiny pedestrian bridge, and I don't think that's what the article is talking about.

A little OT but I was walking along Hurontario near this section a couple of days ago and the new hydro poles are such an eyesore to me. I still don't understand how, with the road being torn up, they couldn't grab the opportunity to bury the cables. This isn't what the future is supposed to...
