    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

In bully-boy Doug's schoolyard, being a lackey is the one career enhancing position available. Character and integrity begone !

    Toronto Ontario Place | ?m | ?s | Infrastructure ON

Does anyone have an idea why there continues to be a split vote ? Another election like the last one, and all our handwringing will be purely academic.

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

The current government believes you're either for them or against them - quite simple, really. Less than 20% of eligible voters can lead to unassailability.

    Jair Bolsonaro's Brazil

Good riddance to Bolsonaro. We appear to be living in an age where defeated candidates can expect to be investigated, for better or worse.

    Evocative Images of Lost Toronto

My extended family lived around Greenwood and Gerrard in the 40's, 50's and 60's. The Riverdale zoo and High Park and Cherry Beach were our getaways. They say that odours are powerful in memory - I can still smell the 'fragrance' of Riverdale, and those monkeys.

Middle age bulge - a little harsh perhaps.

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

The inexorable erosion of local planning authority in the effort to reduce " red tape" to create more housing has been flying under the radar for some time -witness the knee-capping of Conservation Authorities and the hammer of the Minister Zoning Order. Many years of land use planning...

Here's hoping the steel roof reaches the height you suggest.

I remember when the Royal York and the Imperial Bank of Commerce building were the tallest buildings in Toronto. I'm sure the new TD building is built of fine material, but it looks stumpy and blocky to me. I know I'm in the minority on this - hoping I will change my mind when the top is...

Watching this construction from afar has been a pleasure. I worked in construction most of my life, so I'm familiar with holes, formwork and rebar. Overall, the construction sites I see on Urban Toronto are daily fascinating escapes .

    Toronto KING Toronto | 57.6m | 16s | Westbank | Bjarke Ingels Group

I can live with the glare - this is a good view !

Keep your fingers crossed that 'it's not over until the fat lady sings'. This podium is big !

    Toronto Concord Sky | 299m | 85s | Concord Adex | Kohn Pedersen Fox

I agree. This is just another tall building in the core which gives very little to the city in terms of attractive architecture. It's been all said before, time to move on, I reckon.

Downtown Toronto 3D model in Second Life

Thanks for all the great updates, Koops65. Do you update the skyline shots because there's new stuff coming out all the time ? This is really informative for someone like me who hasn't been in the city for 3 years, except for last Thursday. Coming into downtown construction along the Danforth...

Thanks. Poor decision on the city's part.

Even though most applaud the quality of construction materials , it won't add much to the skyline in years to come. I've always wondered why the designers didn't go a little higher with this one, but I guess skyline presence is always the prime consideration. It's a fine building.

And this is a lot more than just nice. It's spectacular.

I guess my next aircraft won't be a De Havilland. Seriously, isn't there any aerospace talent left in the GTA ? I would think that this class of employee could afford to live somewhere close to a new facility.

    Toronto YZD | ?m | ?s | Northcrest Developments | KPMB

What made De Havilland change their mind ? How many jobs go with this decision ? Doug Ford, where are you ?
