Muji Annouces Canadian Flagship - Atrium on Bay

Interior construction has started to ramp up. All the entrances and exterior windows have now been covered in hoarding or sign wraps that mostly obscure what's happening inside. I'd say they are aiming to be open towards the end of Fall. This would coincide with the 4th anniversary of when they...

    Toronto Eaton Centre

Frank & Oak is now open on Level 2 - the Eaton Centre location only features women's fashions. Birk's has closed on Level 3. Aesop will be opening in its place. I believe it will be their third standalone store in Toronto, and the first one here to be in a mall.

MUJI has formally announced their upcoming Toronto flagship expansion, slated to be open sometime in Fall 2018 at the Atrium. It will occupy 19,250 square feet of space on 2 levels and will be their largest store outside of Asia. They have provided a rendering of the new Atrium exterior (note...

A quick look at the forthcoming MUJI space from inside the Atrium. The escalator to the 2nd floor has been completed.

As I figured, MAC is under renovation. Rocky Mountain Soap Company's store is apparently a temporary pop-up shop. "Paragon" is now open. I was wondering what it was...at first I thought it might be a directory listing for the security company office. Disappointingly, it's actually a kiosk on...

A new doorway for disabled/wheelchair access to MUJI has been built inside the 20 Dundas West lobby, beside the elevators.

Purdy's Chocolate, Rocky Mountain Soap Company, Danier, the new expanded Nike store and Refuel Juicery (finally!) are all now open. The old remaining Nike space beside their new store is now vacant. MAC will be opening what I assume will likely be a temporary location in the former Teavana space.

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

Hold up...according to the Daily Mail, Renata and Dougie Jr. were at the swearing in ceremony? That's an interesting turn of events after her filing the lawsuit against Dofo...

Fossil and Trade Secrets have both re-opened after their respective renovations. Freedom Mobile and Lucky Mobile have opened new kiosks on Level 2. Rocky Mountain Soap Company will be opening later this summer in the former Capezio space on Level 2. Danier, Frank & Oak and Paragon will also open...

    Toronto Eaton Centre

It was definitely an interesting time. I remember that police station in the middle of the atrium, along with all that weird astroturf-like green carpet flooring. Plus that odd retail passageway below leading to the movie theatres which had laughably small screens.

    Toronto Eaton Centre

Rinascimento has opened on Level 2, Miniso is now open on Level 1, and EBX has re-opened in the former Trade Secrets space.

    Toronto Eaton Centre

Yogen Fruz / Presotea has re-opened on Level 1, for those who have been jonesing for Frozen Yogourt and Bubble Tea. Refuel Juicery is still not open. No movement at all in the former HiO and Capezio spaces. I'm not sure if Haight & Ashbury will be coming back after all - they've been removed...

Toronto Atrium on Bay Expansion | 114m | 34s | KingSett Capital | Hariri Pontarini

It definitely needs a refresh and a possible relocation, but there really isn't any street level space available in the Atrium at the moment, at least in its current configuration. When Guess closed down, I thought it would be a great spot for a "flagship" LCBO, but the Jordan store took over...
