The return of Route 39 (Bramalea-Guelph) would also help on weekends. The milk run to Guelph from Mount Pleasant to Guelph via Georgetown is painful, though essential for the communities along Highway 7 itself.

The only way I see it working is as a second daily Sudbury-North Bay-Ottawa bus timed to meet the trains.

Not just any purple… aubergine!

The shoulders on the 401 are more limited in width and without space to widen. Many of the 401 routes from Milton/Meadowvale and Brampton divert to the 407 as far as the 400 during especially congested times instead.

It’s one of the more elegant structures that the Grand Trunk built – with chateau-style features more associated with CP – and it’s federally protected. It can and should be moved 20-30 metres north when the time comes. Anyone suggesting demolition is a fool or a tool.
