    Toronto Pinnacle on Adelaide | 144.47m | 46s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

Do you know if the curtain wall is going to go the entire way up the building? North and East facade only?

Is that curtain wall I spy with my little eye? 2nd photo from UD, above 'presentation centre' wording...

    Toronto L-Tower | 204.82m | 58s | Cityzen | Daniel Libeskind

Is this taken from Dubai? Honestly, someone I know mentioned how this project reminds them of something ugly built in Dubai and now I can't unsee it...

    Toronto River City Condos Phases 1 & 2 | ?m | 16s | Urban Capital | ZAS Architects

Although this is one of my favourite projects in the city, and maybe because of that reason... I'm shocked and disappointed at how long it is taking to get the cladding installed on the tower! Hurry up already!

    Toronto Parliament Street Data Centre | ?m | 5s | BRL Realty | WZMH

Retail isn't the only way to activate a street. What we want on a major street like parliament is activation, not necessarily retail, although retail does serve this purpose. Other uses that can activate the street would be a lobby (res or commercial), townhouses, public squares and/or parks...

    Toronto Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

Buildings downtown usually have a condition where podiums are built to the lot line without windows, creating a consistent 5-6 story streetwall.

    Toronto Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

It would likely be considered a material change and would allow purchasers to get out of their contracts... It would also likely be uneconomical from a development perspective as well.

    Toronto Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

I meant to say Massey tower would probably block these windows with a zero setback for a podium with no windows or balconies in the case of the project being developed. It is above the podium that there is a concern about setbacks.

    Toronto Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

When these buildings were built, they didn't think about these types of issues. So you have lots of older buildings with windows on lot lines that are grandfathered but would never be allowed again. In the case of the heintzman building, these windows would likely be blocked in the...

    Toronto Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

When the lot to the south proposes a development with windows and balconies facing north on the lot line you will have a condition with balconies flush with each other. Obviously this isn't acceptable. If the city approves Massey Tower with that condition, on what basis could the city or OMB...

    Toronto Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

MOD could alter their south elevation to have no windows or balconies, which would assuage the concerns about impacting the development potential of the neighbouring property. However, this is obviously a non-starter for MOD. But this is the solution proposed whenever there is a zero setback...

    Toronto Stanley Condominiums | 138.37m | 41s | Tribute | Core Architects

I meant the uproar over the landlord not renewing their lease at the old location at the corner of Queen and Broadview. It may not be the best example considering the trouble they are having now... But if they weren't trying to move into a condo building it would be a non issue.

    Toronto Stanley Condominiums | 138.37m | 41s | Tribute | Core Architects

Clubs are businesses that can locate anywhere. Just because the current location is being redeveloped, does not mean it can't relocate - or have a new concept take its place in the community. If it is a successful business, have no doubt that it will continue. I'm tired of hearing about...

    Toronto Alaska | 30m | 10s | Bianca Pollak | aLL Design

In the city of Toronto you are required to replace all rental units that you demolish at similar rental rates in the new development. This is usually extraordinarily punitive and therefore you dont see sites with rental being developed... UNLESS you are able to achieve a significant increase...

    Mississauga Park 570 Condos | ?m | 4s | VANDYK | Romanov Romanov

Does anyone else think the design is very Alberta? It reminds me of a lot of similar buildings built out west in terms of scale, the use of wood at the corner balconies and the stone detailing. Am I crazy?

The developer is Hullmark, and the architect is Quadrangle if a mod could so kindly change the title

    Toronto Hullmark Centre | 167.94m | 45s | Tridel | Kirkor

You make lots of good points Sunny Ray. However, the drivers from Steele's DO avoid Yonge and 401, and as a result Bayview and 401, Leslie and 401, and the 404/DVP/401 interchange are as bad for traffic as the intersection in question. There is no one smoking gun for the traffic problem. All...

    Toronto Hullmark Centre | 167.94m | 45s | Tridel | Kirkor

My personal opinion is the traffic is caused moreso by office workers and commuters coming from north of finch/steeles down to or up from the 401, not condo's. However, that's just my opinion...

    Toronto Curio by Hilton Distillery District | 115.1m | 31s | Gupta | Arcadis

Do you all think a Gansevoort will work in the Distillery District? It doesn't strike me as an area that jives with the brand. Would you accept more restaurants, bars and nightclubs in the distillery? To me, you cant have one without the other.
