The Tenor (10 Dundas St E, Ent Prop Trust, 10s, Baldwin & Franklin)

I think that people are going to continue to call the square Dundas Square (even though it is Yonge Dundas Square) because it rolls off the tongue much easier. When referencing the movies at Toronto Life Square, I think people will say the AMC, as in "should we see XXXX movie at the AMC"...

    City-TV & OMNI-TV's H.Q. (formerly Torch, Quadrangle)

I disagree. I think the stage was horribly executed. I would rather have seen Dundas Square Road lead down to the parking garage, leaving the square completely flat. Noone uses Dundas Square Road. Sure, it would somewhat cut off the HNR building from the square, but not completely. I think...

    City-TV & OMNI-TV's H.Q. (formerly Torch, Quadrangle)

Perhaps to make more room inside the building, they will envelope over the streetcar underpass between the main building and the column that makes up the lower (torch). That would provide more space on 2 floors, and would allow for more windows into the studio without having to replace the...

    City-TV & OMNI-TV's H.Q. (formerly Torch, Quadrangle)

Now if only that stupid "stage" can be removed so that City will have a clearer vantage point onto the square. As it is now, they dont have a very good view of the action in the square. The stage gets in the way. I think that the stupid, white metal excuse of a moveable stage should be trashed.

The Tenor (10 Dundas St E, Ent Prop Trust, 10s, Baldwin & Franklin)

When are the amc theatres set to open? I wonder if PenEqu has gone back to the drawing boards and re-evaluated what they can charge on the remaining units and signage now that CityTV will be across the square? I would imagine that would be a big draw for companies to locate there and have...

    Bush: "World War Three" Possible

Trilogies are always better than just having a sequel. Everyone knows that the sequel sucks, but the 3rd one tends to be really good.

Speech from the Throne: Federal Election Time?

I think that the Liberal party really is the "natural governing party" in this country. I think that most people feel most comfortable with the Liberals overall, as the party that can best represent not just their views, but a balanced approach to running the country. There are always...

Where would such an arch go in Toronto's city proper?

    TV Show: Darkly Dreaming Dexter

anyone read the 2 books that these 2 seasons are based on? Do the shows follow the books closely?

Speech from the Throne: Federal Election Time?

Dion just needs to bite the bullet on this one and bring down the government. Things are not going to get better for him. Harper will just keep introducing confidence motions into the House, making the Liberals appear even more weak and ineffective, or forcing them to the ballots. Might as...

Long Live - Liberal! Feb Holiday!

That's funny, cuz I have heard of quite a few national companies (and worked for them too) where time of is equalized across the nation. Since some provinces get more holiday days than others, those with less get extra vacation days. Sure, you can take your vacation days when you want, but...

Long Live - Liberal! Feb Holiday!

For some this is good as it will mean another day off of work. For some it could be a bit of a draw back. Take this example..... Joe Ontarion works for a National employer (who has offices across Canada). He gets 3 weeks vacation time, but in addition to this, he gets an additional "lieu...

    2007 Ontario Election: MMP Referendum

Because more people vote against that candidate than for the candidate.

1 Bloor East, DEAD AND BURIED (Bazis, -2s, Varacalli)

I believe the banks had a "share" in their respective buildings, but not full ownership. BMO just recently (about 2 years ago) sold their 25% share in FCP, so they have NO interest in the building aside from being the largest tennant.

    Vancouver 2010 Olympic Ticket Price

Better that some company buys up all the tickets and gives them to their suppliers, thereby pumping big bucks into the running of the games, instead of tax dollars going to fund it all. I am sure VANOC has done their homework and knows that they can charge those prices and still sell tickets...

Oct 10 Ontario Election: Predict the Result

I voted NDP and I voted NO. I guess I buck the trend??? I thought it would be opposite to what you said cacruden. I thought that the public was uninformed about MMP, and for that reason would vote FOR it. It is my view that the general public is unsatisfied with FPTP, so when faced with a...
