I dunno, I just don't see the point in putting exact times during those periods. If service is coming every ten minutes or less, it doesn't matter if you know the exact time it's coming because there is always a bus right around the corner. If there are large gaps in service when FS is on the...

    TTC Website

I'm sure we'd like that, but what about the typical user? What's easier to read? A) "Oh, there's a bus every ten minutes or less!" or B) "Oh, there are buses at 3:45, 3:50, 3:53, 3:57, 4:01..." etc

    TTC Website

Wow. That is much better than I expected. Obviously, some work still needs to be done, but it's a million times better than their current site. I LOVE the new station pages. They are very helpful, especially the elevators section. The schedules are awesome too, way easier to read than they were...

    Annette bike lanes spark bickering

I bet these businesses will be thrilled in a few short years when nobody is visiting their shops because A) nobody can afford to drive there and B) there is no alternative way of getting to them in any reasonable amount of time.

    Roads: Gardiner Expressway

You're forgetting the provisions for a future swan boat line along the Gardiner Corridor. It could follow that ramp into the lake and run straight to the islands! Think about how useful this could be! This is the same fellow who thinks all transit expansion in Toronto should be halted and all...

    Transit City Plan

Wow, the Malvern Town Centre connection might actually make the RT extension useful. I still disagree with the technology, but at least the RT will finally end somewhere important, rather than a patch of empty land at Markham and Sheppard.

Actually, the overwhelming number of people I've ever seen use the :p smiley to indicate they're joking, and :) to indicate they're serious about something making them happy.

    Roads: Gardiner Expressway

Truck traffic may not be a major factor, but what about GO Bus traffic? According to the schedules I have on hand, 11 GO routes run on the Gardiner. If it were buried and turned into car only tunnels, the GO service would be severely slowed, as they'd have to deal with downtown traffic and stop...

Virtual Earth Bird's Eye: Toronto & More

Wow, that's awesome. Nice to see how much more recent the imagery is for the overhead views as well. Google's imagery of Hamilton is from when I was in middle school. I'm currently at the end of my grade 11 year. Yeah, it seriously needs an update. Also, I can't help but notice that neither...

    TTC Website

That reminds me: anyone know when this site's set to launch? I've really been looking forward to it, but the only mention of it on here says it'll be ready for launch "within the next few weeks". The message was posted in early April. Anyone know if there's a concrete launch date? On the...

    Roads: Gardiner Expressway

I can say with a large amount of sincerity that I did NOT see that one coming. Wow. I'm not quite sure where I stood on that project to start with (there were good and bad things associated with it), but I thought it would go ahead for sure.

Yonge Subway Early Closure between Lawrence and Finch (June 22, 2008-Jan 2009)

Viva only runs until midnight, so there's no problem there.

    Yonge-Finch Old vs. New

Because it's interesting to see how things have changed since then? I sense a long and fulfilling posting career in your future.

    A tale of three cities

We should convert all the subways to underground highways while we're at it. Think about it: you could drive from Finch to Queen Street in under twenty minutes, then park in one of the huge parking lots where the local businesses used to be and visit the new Wal-Mart! This plan can not fail.

    Toronto St. Clair West Transit Improvements | ?m | ?s | TTC

Honestly, at this point I'd rather they just bustitute the whole damn service for the rest of construction. It has to be easier than constantly switching the route arrangements every few weeks. From what I hear, the buses are more reliable than the streetcars anyway.

    Automobile City

And thus you lose all credibility. Want to point out this death cycle you speak of? At least he provided hard evidence, what do you have? A bunch of conjecture and unproven facts that, for all we know, you made up. At least link to a study or something that shows Toronto's population is in a...

    Automobile City

Glen... I have no words. Seriously, knock yourself out. Go ahead and see how many people on here support your "no 416 transit expansion" plan. Seriously, do it. You make Dentrobate look like an amazing urban planner, and if you ever got into any decision making place, I would weep for the future...

    Automobile City

I have no idea what the hell you're trying to say. I didn't say service should only be expanded for commuters. Everyone has a right to good transit service. Your exact words were that all transit expansion should be in the 905 with none in Toronto.

    Windsor: $1.6B International Bridge connection

Shut up. This is a much more important project than burying the Gardiner (which is functional, if ugly). Toronto isn't the centre of the universe, as much as some people might like to think it is, and other cities do exist in this province, all of whom are just as deserving of government funds...
