    Transit City Plan

what a fiasco!!! Rob Ford was questioned this morning, after he did his weigh in... a reporter asked... and yet again his answer is "the people want subways", "I was elected on my subways promise" and "I was in Scarborough this past weekend and everyone kept telling me they want subways"...

    Toronto Eighty One Wellesley | 97.53m | 28s | Aragon Properties | Core Architects

what would be the point of this... just to have yet another boarded up lot on Wellesley...? the building is already gone... hopefully it gets replaced with something tasteful.

    Toronto One Bloor East | 257.24m | 76s | Great Gulf | Hariri Pontarini

All I stated was that I preferred this building than the current 1 Bloor design. It does not mean that I want the exact same building in Toronto. The reply by condovo did come across as condescending. I understand that some people won't agree, but you don't have to belittle my opinion, which...

that was MY dream... and I just like it better.

this was my pipe dream for 1 Bloor... sadly it didn't come true

    Toronto Hullmark Centre | 167.94m | 45s | Tridel | Kirkor Architects

wow... I also find it amazing that they're (McDonalds) getting a new building at that corner... I was hoping that they'd relocate into the Sheppard Centre

    Toronto YC Condos -- Yonge at College | 198.42m | 62s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

^^ I thought this was a forum where people could post their different opinions about stuff. If I felt strongly about any thread I'd post something... be it boxy, narrow or even if I think A's opinion is not to my liking and he/she is a snob. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Bigger is always better and besides Toronto can always use more phallic symbols...

Canadians willing to pay road tolls.

I think this is the way to go... I'm all for tolls as well. Toronto can't continue down the current gridlocked path.

Toronto Ryerson's Mattamy Athletics Centre + Loblaws at the Gardens | ?m | ?s | Ryerson University | Turner Fleischer

I recently tried that Sobeys in College Park... it's a much better alternative to Metro.

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

If it comes to it I say knock it down... I'm not that fond of the design. Although my dislike of the building might be mostly fueled by my dislike of the window displays. I'm just sayin...

    Toronto Living Shangri-La Toronto | 214.57m | 66s | Westbank | James Cheng

wow fantastic shot!! What time of day was this taken? Why does the avenue look so empty? I do agree though that this avenue could use some taller buildings.

    The New Clipped Passes

baby steps indeed... I do think babies move faster though. New York City's MTA started doing clipped cards 10 years ago!

    Toronto Couture The Condominium | ?m | 42s | Philmor | Graziani + Corazza

I think it's very appropriate cladding for Couture... with it being right next to X and future X2. 3 dark colored (and quite boring) tall boxes built right next to each other... I'll be falling asleep walking through this corner.

    Toronto One Bloor East | 257.24m | 76s | Great Gulf | Hariri Pontarini

That's too bad... and mostly for HBC, I'd think they'd like to get more foot traffic through that place. Granted an underground connection doesn't translate into more traffic for the above ground floors. This corner has a long way to go... alone the numerous issues facing the TTC at this...

Toronto St Regis Toronto Hotel and Residences | 281.93m | 58s | JFC Capital | Zeidler

big words little man... but I guess to each his own. Toronto does have some questionable buildings, but "an abomination" this is not. This adds a nice touch to the skyline albeit a bit hidden with the other tall buildings around... I do believe though that once it's fully lite it'll stand out...

Toronto Yonge Sheppard Centre Renovations and Expansion | 123.13m | 35s | RioCan | BDP Quadrangle

hmmm... I'm almost sure that these 2 buildings don't sit directly over top the subway lines, but I guess it would be fairly "complex" if demolishing anything here was involved. And you're absolutely right, the way this centre meets the street is horrible... I'm able bodied and I hate climbing...

    Toronto James Cooper Mansion | ?m | 32s | Tridel | Burka

Is the front of this building complete? The side that faces Sherbourne, the Mansion side that is. They still have that Tridel sign over top the door to the actual Mansion and the walk way seems incomplete.

    Toronto 561 Sherbourne | 128.01m | 43s | Medallion | Arcadis

I'm liking this plan... I do wish they would knock down the rest of St James Town and rebuild it.
