what a fiasco!!! Rob Ford was questioned this morning, after he did his weigh in... a reporter asked... and yet again his answer is "the people want subways", "I was elected on my subways promise" and "I was in Scarborough this past weekend and everyone kept telling me they want subways"...

wow... I also find it amazing that they're (McDonalds) getting a new building at that corner... I was hoping that they'd relocate into the Sheppard Centre

Bigger is always better and besides Toronto can always use more phallic symbols...

I think this is the way to go... I'm all for tolls as well. Toronto can't continue down the current gridlocked path.

I recently tried that Sobeys in College Park... it's a much better alternative to Metro.

If it comes to it I say knock it down... I'm not that fond of the design. Although my dislike of the building might be mostly fueled by my dislike of the window displays. I'm just sayin...

I think it's very appropriate cladding for Couture... with it being right next to X and future X2. 3 dark colored (and quite boring) tall boxes built right next to each other... I'll be falling asleep walking through this corner.

That's too bad... and mostly for HBC, I'd think they'd like to get more foot traffic through that place. Granted an underground connection doesn't translate into more traffic for the above ground floors. This corner has a long way to go... alone the numerous issues facing the TTC at this...

big words little man... but I guess to each his own. Toronto does have some questionable buildings, but "an abomination" this is not. This adds a nice touch to the skyline albeit a bit hidden with the other tall buildings around... I do believe though that once it's fully lite it'll stand out...

hmmm... I'm almost sure that these 2 buildings don't sit directly over top the subway lines, but I guess it would be fairly "complex" if demolishing anything here was involved. And you're absolutely right, the way this centre meets the street is horrible... I'm able bodied and I hate climbing...

Is the front of this building complete? The side that faces Sherbourne, the Mansion side that is. They still have that Tridel sign over top the door to the actual Mansion and the walk way seems incomplete.
