Buying Boxing Day Furniture, worth it?

Update: I did go furniture shopping 3 days in a row. I went to places like Design Within Reach, West Elm, Casalife, EQ3, Visitor Parking, BLVD Interiors, Urban Barn, Structube, Brick, Leon's, IKEA and some other places who get the same stuff as Visitor Parking and Blvd interiors but for less...

Buying Boxing Day Furniture, worth it?

I won't be moving in to my unit until February, should I buy something during boxing week and have in delivered in February or should I just wait until February to buy? Are there any significant savings during Boxing Week?

Whats better? Higher floor or extra den

The latter i'd rather have more square footage than have a 550 sq ft unit with a north view. If it was a waterfront or city view then I'd reconsider.

http://www.londoncondos.ca/flash/floorplans/floorplans2/1b-de.pdf Thats the unit . Yes the den is not big, its a den not a bedroom. Good enough for a small desk office. It looks better in person, the one I saw was furnished nicely. Still a wonderful building and area that people will...

This unit does not come with a Parking or Locker. It's a private sale too. Not sure if yours was sold via broker, but price may have been higher to compensate for the 5% commissions.

The cost of living downtown and bidding wars (buyer's opinion)

Okay..sorry its Gas for heating and cooking...Hydro for electricity...Water for laundry, showering, dishes etc.... Hydro and Water seperately metered based on amount of consumption. No Hot Water or Electrical heating :) Gas is included in the maintenance fee, but water and hydro is not.

The cost of living downtown and bidding wars (buyer's opinion)

Sorry, I don't know what i'm talking about. M5Vs Heating is Electricity and Water is individually metered as well. So my point is, maintenance fees are less likely to rise as high as other units in the GTA because everyone watches their own water consumption. Not comparing M5V to Ritz...

The cost of living downtown and bidding wars (buyer's opinion)

M5V's maintenance fee is about .45 cents and each unit has a seperate water tank as well.

The cost of living downtown and bidding wars (buyer's opinion)

Don't forget to factor in maintenance fees. There are some units that are price well <$500 psf but the maintenance fees are high. Especially the units west of bathurst on King. Some of those older buildings don't even have ensuite laundry. Using the psf caluclation to determine value on a...

The cost of living downtown and bidding wars (buyer's opinion)

It depends which area you're looking at. Judging by your name, I'm going to assume you love the m5v downtown area. I saw a 645 sqft unit at the Hudson (King and Spadina) with parking go for $430K and the same layout on a lower floor listed at $400K no parking. Not sure if it sold but I'm...
