This might be the best skyscraper that has gone up in Toronto since the boom started in 2005. CIBC Square is good too but it is too short.

    Mississauga Square One District | ?m | 65s | Oxford Properties | Hariri Pontarini

This area needs high order transit other wise it will be total gridlock. 1 - They need to extend the Subway from Kipling to here 2 - They need to add a GO Train Station from the Milton Line to have a stop here or even a Spur that goes from Erindale 3 - They need to extend the Eglinton LRT to...

    Mississauga Exchange District Condos | 232m | 72s | Camrost-Felcorp | Arcadis

One of the things I love about GTA's skyline is that its very spread out with lots of clusters of high rises. You don't see this in North America where all the tall buildings are in one area. This is more similar to Asian cities where they have multiple nodes of high rises. In 20 years, my...

In 20 years, Mississauga's skyline will be among the top 10 in North America

Nice it's a quarter of the way up. Should be half way to the top by end of the year. And should be topped off by early 2025.

No way it will finish in 2029. Maybe 2035 if we are lucky. Given their track record.

I am just putting things in perspective. Tourists don't come to Toronto for history and nor does Toronto have ancient monoutments like Eiffel Tower or Big Ben. Toronto needs to make a statement and this building could have served as that statement. People can look at Burj Khalifa and identify...

London and Paris have over 2000 years of history to fall back on. Toronto doesn't have that.

Totally agree. Toronto and Torontonians are obsessed with being world class and yet we are mired mediocrity precisely because of stuff like this. This is the most famous intersection in Canada, it should have very tall buildings to make a statement. As for the shadows, Jesse Ketchum Park isn't...

hopefully mizrahi wins the appeal. he should be able to demonstrate how little shadow impacts the park and what additional benefits the city will generate through a taller building with more property tax and iconic shots of midtown boosting tourism

What floor is it currently on? Also we could use that diagram to show where it is in the construction process

Skydome is like the first kid in the neighborhood to get a nice flasy toy....but then suddenly it becomes very dated. Skydome opened in 1989 but by 1995 it was already obsolete when Camden Yards opened in Baltimore which showed how to do baseball specific venues right. I think we just need to...

Scotiabank Arena will probably get re-built in about 20 years time. When the naming rights expire in 2038. The footprint area is small but with clever engineering, they can make a bigger arena with the same footprint...maybe dig deeper or something similar to how the Chicago Cubs re-built...

    Toronto Rogers Centre Renovations | ?m | ?s | Toronto Blue Jays | Populous

The Location for Scotiabank Arena is prime. They will probably gut the entire arena and rebuild it and probably remove the MLSE office from there. Leafs and Ratpors could play in a temporary arena somewhere in GTA while it's re-built. I do think the GTA does need a second Arena at the same size...
