I heard about this a while ago. Can't say I'll miss that building. Hopefully it is replaced with office space / some better retail opportunities.

Here's some photos I took of the North York / Downtown skyline during sunset.

Listening to these callers on the AM Talk Radio show with Oakley leaves me totally bewildered. Their support for him is blind! One old woman remarked, "If I had to deal with the lefties every day I'd be a drunk too! I support you!"

A member of the public tried to interrupt a press scrum yelling out support for Ford - he's got some loyal fans.

No doubt fiercely loyal though. Hence why Ford selected him.

Looks like North York was a tighter race - perhaps a future candidate could overcome ford by 'winning' the downtown area and north york.

The globe's article by Emmet Macfarlane about introducing the power to impeach at the municipal level is quite good. All of this could have been over long ago if the city had this power.

Looks like the remaining area on that site could be zoned for future condos.

But I think the fact that some of these towers will be designated Hotel / Office negates the need to open up the space.

I'm not sure how I feel about the angle of the buildings themselves relative to each other.

Anything in the cards for centrepoint mall? That awful monstrosity is eating up such valuable land.

I don't agree - this development is supposed to be a landmark for the community, perhaps representing its focal point / center. I think the density is justified.
