If only they would update the maps along the PATH in a reasonable time frame. A lot of them don't even show Metropolis/Toronto Life Square/10 Dundas East yet.

And plus the whole Maple Leaf Gardens thing. There have been a few bumps along the road, but so far Toronto has weathered the recession very well, at least with regard to city building. Other cities would do well to maintain the status quo, and things here are actually continuing to progress...

Don't tell EFSF Jaburo this, but when the TTC built the North Yonge extension they built three straight, flat sections of track so that stations could be added later at Glencairn, Glen Echo, and Empress. Empress was built a decade later as North York Centre and the other two remain unbuilt...

So what benefit do the posts bring, beyond inflating your post count? Absolutely none. And do you really think this forum is "the blind leading the blind"? That's pretty disrespectful to the folks here who provide a lot of useful knowledge and commentary.

The only way it's going to stop is if the mods crack down on it. The folks who keep posting it have shown no desire to stop.

I definitely prefer the first, but I'm partial to downtowns in general. Plus it will be just a couple of blocks from the James Street North GO Station, which will hopefully have all-day service by then.

I think we might have some crossed wires here. I have no problem with the Maple Leafs at Maple Leaf Square. It's the stenciled stuff the painted on sidewalks all over downtown that I don't feel is justified. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

They didn't do that for me, you, or for Toronto. They did it for themselves so that they could earn a tidy profit. There's nothing wrong with that, but they're not doing anything out of the kindness of their hearts. And it certainly doesn't entitle them to treat the city like a billboard...

Sorry but this is worse because it's a very wealthy corporation taking over our public space. If they want to advertising space they can buy it on the open market.
