    Mayor John Tory's Toronto

He is, but luckily he won't be part of his actual office: 'Though Tory refused to comment on who amongst his campaign staff might be tapped for his office, he did confirm Nick Kouvalis — the strategist who helped Ford get elected four years ago — will not be among them. “He is somebody that I...

    Mayor John Tory's Toronto

Soknacki is already on Tory's transition advisory council, so that's a nice gesture.

2014 Municipal Election: Toronto Mayoral Race

I don't think that was ever their aim. If you look at all of Ford's attacks on Tory, they're from the left. Ford isn't trying to steal Tory supporters: he's trying to make Chow voters strategically going with Tory go back to Chow to force a split.

    2014 mayoral election prediction

In a normal world, I'd say that Doug will get a bit lower than his polling average and Chow a bit higher because of the quality of their respective Get Out the Vote teams. That said, I think there's something we have to consider, which is the "wild card" effect of the Fords weird sway over large...

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Edward Keenan ‏@thekeenanwire 4m4 minutes ago John Wright of Ipsos just said on Newstalk that they aren't releasing a poll tonight, but they also have Tory at a 14-point lead.

2014 Municipal Election: Toronto Mayoral Race

"Daniel Dale ‏@ddale8 1m1 minute ago Tory says he's not in favour of the Eglinton Connects plan. Ford alleges he's flip-flopped." I'd argue Tory has flip-flopped on this multiple times now, but there you go. Not in favour.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Lost in the story of Ford at polling stations: the Ford campaign is using Rob to ferry individual seniors to polling stations. Doesn't that seem like a waste of a pretty big resource?

2014 Municipal Election: Toronto Mayoral Race

The thing about supporting both DRL and SmartTrack is, isn't it kind of dumb to support both? When experts said you'd still need a DRL with SmartTrack, I think that should have been the end of SmartTrack. Otherwise it just ends up being a 9 billion dollar band-aid to a problem we're going to...

If the judge is actually *in* judge regalia in the crack-smoking video, that's amazing.

Do we know what Bruno was in jail for when Ford went to visit him that one weird night?

Judging from my Twitter feed, most of the non-white people I follow?

I agree that her team is crummy and that she didn't handle this situation particularly well, but I think the idea that the right move was to drop out and abandon the priority neighbourhood debate is misguided. Ford slings poo and priority neighbourhoods get fucked over again.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Opinion tide seems to be turning. I think Olivia's going to look great tomorrow. The only candidate who didn't back out on priority neighbourhoods? That's the principled stand.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

It was actually Goldkind who said Chow backed Ford. I don't know how credible it was. Chow's coming out smelling like a rose now, to be honest, because she's the only one who hasn't dropped out of the Priority Neighbourhoods Debate. What seemed like a flub now seems to me quite smart.
