Amazing that Pneumatic Tube Systems are still being used. They are installing one at the new Humber River Regional Hospital on Wilson. 1.8 million sq.ft of digital hospital.
Perhaps you should have tried the Onion Soup at Gaston's, originally on Markham Street (in the Mirvish Village), later on Baldwin known as Le Petit Gastons. He used to serve it with a pair of scissors since the cheese was so thick.

Grew up on Melgund, definitely not the same street on the map. It now goes East West from Bathurst to Wells Hill. I notice that our next house on Wychwood Ave (not Wychwood Park where Adam Vaughan grew up) was originally Bracondale
Grew up not 30 seconds away on Melgund, right across from Wells Hill Park, referring of course to Lyndhurst. Believe it was a convalescent home back in the 60's
