It's nice to be able to walk, almost, the entire southside of the laneway, totally unobstructed now. It's peaceful and quiet.

I would have preferred the shoppers to be at Trinity and Front, instead of where the Mandy’s Salads will be. But I understand as a large chain they want to be in more of a primary intersection. As a nearby resident, I love that we're getting a Shoppers. But the location there, with its extended outside paving, was clearly intended for a restaurant with patio (also seen in some of the renders). I think it's a shame that there wasn't another suitable space for Shoppers so it didn't have to take this feature without having a use for it.
The Canrary was without both a grocery and a drug store. Both have now been remedied.
Arbys - you must be kidding. Though Yelp is not always right, this is a terrible review.I would have preferred the shoppers to be at Trinity and Front, instead of where the Mandy’s Salads will be. But I understand as a large chain they want to be in more of a primary intersection.
To that end I don’t know if a patio on that side would have been great. It doesn’t have a lot of sunlight, there’d be a lot of traffic noise and pollution and it would kinda stick out like a sore thumb. Once Cherry Place is open, there’s going to be a lot of seniors right across the road, plus a Life Labs.
Unsure if there’s any more small retail available along Cherry. But I wouldn’t cry over a fast food chain showing up (I’m looking at you Arby’s)
