Unfortunately the best version I can find (SNL always restricts content in Canada), but if you didn't see Bern Your Enthusiasm with Larry David this past Saturday night, you need to watch this:

Apologies about the obnoxious frame, but I think it's the only way they can beat the algorithm

Last night's republican debate was disgusting. Probably the worst one yet, though I enjoyed every minute of it. Our political debates were so civilized in comparison, and the election was done and over with in just 3 months while the U.S still hasn't even picked which idiot will run the GOP. What a stupid electoral system.

Just a small point here....they (the GOP and the Dems) are not running primaries/caucuses to "pick which idiot" will run their parties. They are in the process of selecting their candidate(s) for presidency. Whichever individual(s) they pick, will run for the job not run the party and whichever one loses will fade into the background.....not, as in our system, become the leader of the opposition.

Not just that, but the party with the most electoral college votes would get its presidential candidate to become president, and each state has a certain number of electoral votes, based roughly on population, though favouring states with smaller populations. In most cases (with very few exceptions), all of the electoral votes for one state would be for the party with the most general votes from the public within that state.

Trump will elect Hillary. If he doesn't win the GOP nomination he'll go independent as a third candidate, ensuring Clinton wins. If he does will the nomination he'll keep a lot of GOP voters at home, while the anyone but Trump crowd amasses around Clinton.

Hopefully the influence of Sanders will impact the bland, centrist NDP of Tom Mulcair.
Muclair is going to get tossed as NDP leader. With Trudeau dominating the Centre and Centre-left voters, promoting green-friendly programs, and bending over to Quebec's Bombardier with taxpayer slush, there's nothing for the NDP to do outside of a radical, election-destroying left turn.

They just elected a very left-wing leader in Nova Scotia, Gary Burrill.

That theory held true last year when the Trump was second and third in the primaries threatening to run as a independent. The problem now the Republican party doesn't have any candidate that can bring out the voters like Trump, and with 33% Bernie Sanders Supporters vowing not to vote Hillary, there might not be a split vote at all to stop him.
