Her performance was just too over the top for my liking. Hallelujah is a love song not a diva blaster. People really need to stop covering that song. Jeff Buckley is the reason it's the most covered song of all time. He did it the best and everyone will always pale in comparison.

i just hope in the coverage of the pan-am games we get to see more than the city's skyline from the lake.
the skyline is much more impressive looking from the east or west than simply from the south.

Perhaps what we should learn is to ban the British media from the city ... the yellow journalism in that country is a disgrace!

And the reason for all the native themes in the Olmypic openings is because the plot of land that the BC Place, or rather the entirety of Vancouver, were more or less annexed from the natives. Guess it's a way of preventing the aboriginals from blockadeing the Olympic stadium like they do over here the 401.
