re: references - just remember everybody can get somebody to say something nice about them. t4's and paystubs only paint half the picture.

best method i've come up with is to go with your gut.

The other option is to go through a management company. They find and take care of the tenants for a monthly fee.

Renting furnished?

Does anyone have experience with renting out furnished condo? Have to rent mine when going abroad for couple of years, and I don't want to move all this furniture.

The condo is newer 1 bdrm downtown, high-end finishes, and so is the furniture (sparse).

Would it be easier or more difficult to rent it out furnished? How much could I ask comparing to unfurnished? Does it really make sense considering possible damage etc.?

I'd appreciate comments.

Believe it or not, in London, UK, most flats for rent come furnished.
