What is happening?

Proposed date: Weekend of May 25th– 26th: Parliament Street will be closed in both directions between Lake Shore Boulevard E to north of the rail corridor to facilitate the installation of a utility bridge that will be installed on the south side of the rail bridge.

Proposed date: Weekend of June 1st– 2nd: Cherry Street will be closed in both directions between Lake Shore Boulevard E to north of the rail corridor to facilitate the installation of a utility bridge that will be installed on the south side of the rail bridge

I was wondering if this was still on the docket. This is the last remaining stretch of hydro lines that used to run above ground from Sunnyside through downtown.

Assuming this is related to the track rework and moving the high voltage and communication and track control feeds.

Utility bridge installed this past weekend along the south side of the Cherry St. rail bridge to fascilitate work on the GO Expansion OnCorridor Works Project. Imagine that, they left room for the future Cherry St. street car to pass underneath to the right.

It looks like they installed 5 columns on the east side for supporting 1 new track bridge? The drilling rig has been moved down one level from where it’s been stored for the last number of weeks.
